Question Create/Start discussion - Also needs to be on the root page

Title says most of what I'm talking about. For the root of every group you should see the Start discussion at the top right, Having people hit discussions to see Start discussion is confusing to a lot of people.

How is it confusing that users must enter the discussion area to start discussions? Are your users also confused about the fact that there isn't an "Upload media" button on your forum home?

The problem with just adding a "Start discussion" button is that I'll also need to build a section selector similar to the forum selector when you press "Post thread" in the node list. I'll leave this open for now while I check how much work that'll be.

I mean, I feel like that comment was uncalled for. It's just not user friendly and it's a lot of clicking and it's confusing and people are having trouble starting a discussion. I feel like having it right there in a open would help with engagement.

I apologise, I was baffled at the notion that anyone would find it confusing, and I didn’t express that in a constructive way.

I will keep this ticket open until I can create the aforementioned solution that would enable a Start discussion button from the Overview page.

I mean I get where you're coming from. It's just a lot of my users only know facebook. So Forums are all new to them.

Perfect, Ok Let me ask you this, I went and changed the name to just groups. When I go to install the update will that revert it?

No, phrases won’t revert on updates. If a phrase changes, you’ll see a notice in the AdminCP about outdated phrases.

2.2.3 has not been released yet as there are outstanding issues with the [OzzModz] Social Groups importer that's blocking the release.

So I like the update, however, when you go to start a discussion from in the group it ask you a redundant
question.

Why? can this be removed?

I feel once you hit Start Discussion it needs to go directly to this.

Also from a Mobile perspective, it's very unattractive first experience once you've clicked on a group.

I feel like about info needs to be at the bottom.

This is not a redundant question. It's asking if you want to post in the root section or in a sub-section. This will not be removed.

That happens if you click the Start Discussion button from the "Discussions" page.

Mobile support is always going to be "best effort" with a page as complex as the Overview page, sorry.

I also noticed in mobile, once you're inside that group, there is no group image.

There is no real place where it would fit, so this is also not something that is likely to be actioned at this time.
