Oh yah I remember they did mention something like too many connection/request coming from SB.

They told there must be some problem in shoutbox scripting. Also they suggested to disable the shoutbox and try it out for few days. Confidently they are saying there will not be any IP block issue when SB is disabled.

I am facing the same problem. It works fine on Firefox. But not on Chrome. Waiting for the next version eagerly.
