Hello again

I tried out a little because I wanted to offer a service. Unfortunately I didn't find a way to integrate it into the shop.
Is there a best practice?

That depends what type of service you're talking about, can you provide any more information? :)

Sure sorry.
Services such as setting up a forum (organizing web space, installing Xenforo and setting it up until it is handed over)

I imagined it to be something like this.
He buys the service -> then a post will be created in a forum with the function (Automatically create purchase thread in forum[of course only the user can see it]) -> and we can contact him about it.

Righty, well you can do that by using the auto-thread feature whenever someone purchases a product. We use it here whenever someone buys a Pro Install mod. You can do this by scrolling down when creating a digital product and using the "Automatically create purchase thread" fields.

You don't have to add a download to a product, so if you're selling a service you can just omit adding a download. The product will still be on sale :)

Yes, that's what I thought, but I don't have a buy button.

And if i set up the Product pricing tiers to Permanent is it possible to buy that again? Or what is the best way to adjust this for a one-time performance?

so if you're selling a service you can just omit adding a download.
Sorry but what does this mean?

Can I use the add-on prefixe if I don't share it with a user?
I want to prevent the user from using the prefix without buying the service.

Check the user group permissions, both globally and per product. Also, you can't buy your own products, so if you are the product owner you will not see a buy button.

And if i set up the Product pricing tiers to Permanent is it possible to buy that again?
Yes it is. If you want it to be one-time, make sure that when they buy the product they are added to a new user group without the ability to buy the product (per-product user group permissions).

Sorry but what does this mean?
It means "you don't need to add a download to a digital product".

Sorry, I don't understand this. The prefix selector when posting a new thread is automatic, it bypasses user group permissions I think.

if i enter a prefix in "Automatically created purchase thread prefix" it will not be saved.
So the next time you edit the product, the prefix is no longer entered.

and the "Category limit " on the "DragonByte eCommerce: New Products" widget does not run; other widgets I haven't tested yet

Are you editing the product in the AdminCP or the front-end?

Yes it does. You can see this in action here @ this site.

Main page:

vBulletin sub-category:

If this is not what you're talking about, please clarify.

Have only try in the acp at the moment. In the front-end i have the same Problem.

Yes it does.
but if I use the filter for 1 category all categories will be shown to me :'(
I have created a new widget on the position "Forum list: Above nodes" and there I wanted to show only one category. So we're talking about the same thing.

Sorry, but I am unable to replicate this problem. Can administrators on your forum not access the prefix you're trying to use?

So we're talking about the same thing.
We're not talking about the same thing, the widget being loaded in eCommerce itself vs loaded on the home page are completely separate things.

I see the issue with the widget displaying on the forum rather than in the store, it'll be resolved in the next version.

You are using a 3rd party addon that interferes with how the prefix system works. Please disable this modification.

Ok thank you :)

How did you insert the license selection there? This is verry fancy
