Question Worth watching if you are doing seo on a forum

This is not a bug report or even a feature request. There's an interesting plugin on vbulletin.org with a link to a google webmasters hangout about seo and forum content:

I think it is worth watching because it clearly states google intentions about content valuation and the way they are tweaking algorithms. On the other hand I'm afraid any kind of automated noindexing would have to be really well tested and thought out...

Manual vetting of content would be very much not feasible for 99% of forums, especially bigger ones. Smaller forums may benefit more from this, but it could also be resolved by having them manually create articles and simply turn off sitemap submission for forum threads.
