Is there a setting where I can choose which currency I want to use. I want to change it to another one that I am already using instead of the one that comes with Triad. Or do I need to edit templates/files for now?

In the AdminCP for TT, "Main Settings", you can change the name of the currency to whatever you want, in the TT -> Integration Field, you can change what database column is used for the currency. I think this is what you're looking for anyway. =)
