Question shipping / billing address

Hi I need some help setting up my store. I am simply selling a few physical items and not shipping to businesses or outside of the USA. right now the address fields dont make a lot of sense to or look realisitic to a typcial shopper. Can you set it up something simple like this checkout page? Also I am not able to add categories , it takes me to an error. My DEV added one but there is no option to change / edit / categories.. there is a button but that doesnt work.

for the shipping I would like to have just the USA as a country and the 50 states.

You can search for the terms used in the phrase manager, but the fields cannot be edited or removed at this time.

Also I am not able to add categories , it takes me to an error.

Hi I really disagree with the address fields.. they add confusion to the situation. If you go to any eCommerce site these wont be there and or there will be a * next to required fields.. I really hope you can fix this, when you purchase something online you look for something that is simple and makes sense and is trustworthy.

When I click on the " t-shirts and hoodies" category or try to go edit / delete there is no option for this and I get an error... also the pictures aren't showing up properly.

I am looking to sell maybe 10 physical products and I think this isn't what I expected when I purchased this add on. Judging by other comments on here I think this needs to be addressed.

Please let me know if you can help me out, I may have to back out of this and request refund if not. You have done a great job here.

Can you please describe in more detail how you got to the "Requested content not found" page? I am unable to replicate this issue.

EDIT: I should also warn you that the XenForo 2.1 version is no longer in active development following the release of XenForo 2.2, as per the roadmap. I would strongly recommend upgrading to XF 2.2 and installing the XF 2.2 version as soon as possible.

EDIT 2: To set United States as the default address book country, change the relevant setting in the XenForo options.

This is an example eCommerce category. You can manage the eCommerce categories via the Admin control panel. From there, you can setup more categories or change the eCommerce options.

Oh I see. That is the category description. Please click this link instead: Admin control panel

It's expected that you change the default category description, it's not intended to be functional for every site

Ok I was not logged into the actual ADMIN account that is why it would not let me edit categories..

Can you help with shipping fields and product picture not showing up?

Shipping fields: I don't know what you mean by this, can you clarify please?

Product picture: In the product list in the AdminCP, click the cog icon then upload your product icon.

I am looking to delete and change the fields to make it simple like this so I can copy / paste the address of the buyer for my physical product into stamps.com

I would like to get rid of the drop down menu for country as is is clunky and unneeded as all my customers are from the US and I am not going to ship overseas

Neither of these two things are possible at this time, sorry.

Furthermore, as I mentioned in my previous post, even if I were to add the ability to control those fields, this option would only appear in the XenForo 2.2 version.

Ok thanks but if you do a search you’ll see there is a clear issue with the address fields.. many people are asking the same thing. I figure it would be an easy fix and help sales.. this issue alone has me searching for alternatives

It's definitely not an easy fix at all, as there are multiple areas of the system that all assume the presence of these exact fields. Then, I would have to consider upgrades; existing installations would need all of their address fields imported into whatever new system is added.

Considering the fields I've added are standard across the entire eCommerce industry and that the phrases can be renamed to suit whatever local names are used for address fields, I don't see this as a pressing issue.

Ok I understand now. I have never edited phrases before I just learned how somewhat. Is there a way to make the first line “title” optional?

No, since the address will be added to an "Address Book" rather than single-use. The title is the identifier that will be used in the address book list, and in the drop-down for future purchases.

The next version will have the "Required" hint text for the required fields, as well as the HTML attribute that denotes the field as required.

Understood thank you.. so given what I have here for fields and requests. Can you help me title these fields the best way possible for your every day person and not a business? You see from my screen shot what I am trying to do.

In your screenshot, there's way more fields than in this system, so if your goal is to make it simpler then DB eCommerce is much simpler to fill out.

You can change the phrases to fit whatever you want, though. Bear in mind that the "Title" field will not appear in the order log or shipping label creation tool.

Ok I am starting to figure this out.. where is the input for PayPal payment? I checked the box but don’t see option for input of PayPal..

also.. I’m trying to make a fake order and the terms of service box is popping up and no shipping option.

Also in the cart is there a way to delete “physical “ next to the product title?
