We have a daily redeem event and we'd like to know which time zone does it follow 'cause we tried redeeming at midnight on our timezone (which started few minutes ago) but didn't work.

AFAIK, it uses the creating user's timezone to determine what timestamp should be the valid start date. In other words; if someone at UTC-7 created it to start at midnight, then it would use 7 AM UTC as the start date.

You can check this yourself by opening the xf_dbtech_credits_event table, and check the redeem_startdate in the settings JSON blob.

F.ex.
JSON:
{"redeem_amount":100,"redeem_startdate":1534719600,"redeem_enddate":1535670000,"redeem_code":"TEST","redeem_maxtimes":0,"redeem_maxusers":0}

Then take 1534719600 and look it up on https://www.epochconverter.com/
