Question Earning Additional Credits

I noticed that there's an option to earn additional Credits based on Character Count, but I need to enable Charging, but wouldn't that deduct a calculated amount of Credits for Posting? I guess I'm a little confused here.

What I want is a way to provide additional Credits based on word count (however, I can make do with Character Count) over say 250 characters to provide 0.01 Credit per character.

You can't both charge to post a post and also earn credits for word count, those are mutually exclusive.

So, currently there's no way to earn additional credits based on character, or am I misunderstanding/missing an option somewhere?

You would use the "Amount per character" setting in the event, which you correctly identified. However, you posted that you charge users for posting, and as such the "Amount per character" setting would also charge extra per character when you post.

If you want the event to only trigger if the post is at least 250 characters, then set "Minimum characters" to 250

Ah! Okay. I had to read the description a couple of times. I'm a bit slow today, I guess. I compounded both of those sentences together rather than reading them as separate if/then statements.

Setting the minimum trigger, would the member still get the initial 5 credits, or do I need to set up an additional event for the additional credits to be applied?
