Question Credits Not Being Removed On Manual Adjust?

I just created a "creditsdisabled" group that I applied to both "Bot" accounts like for our RSS feed account so it doesn't gain credits since its not a human. Registered and all post-based groups are under 5k on the priority for groups, and this one has 8999 (right under owner/me) so it should work for ANYONE who gets the role.

But when I go to User profile > 1696176146519.png > Click > Adjust > Take > 27002 (and even 27000, 1) add in a note "bot account" > Adjust ... Nothing happens. The credits stay, and there are zero errors in the ACP error logs.

When you say "creditsdisabled" I'm assuming you mean that you set this user group's "Trigger events" user group permission to "No" (or "Never")?

If so, that is the cause. The "Adjust" action is, due to the transaction logging requirements, an event that is being triggered.

Is it not possible to set a role (or specific user) to not gain credits? I don't want "system" accounts to get credits or show in the "top credits" list since some rss feeds have no line breaks and tons of words.

You would need to first remove credits from those users, then give them the role that events do not affect them. From your initial query, it sounded like you were saying these bot users had existing credits and you now want them to have 0, so you'll need to adjust their credits first before giving them the role that removes the "Trigger Events" permission.

Alrighty thanks, did that. This ticket is resolved, I think. Now just to figure out the edit getting creds.

One of my members still got credits for a silent edit as a mod. We should continue this in the right ticket tho.
