Is it possible to set up a cron job to run maintenance, recalculate points?

I suppose you could do that, but it's not a feature we currently support.

OK how would I go about doing that?

I don't know, sorry. Being that we don't intend for it to be recalculated constantly, It's not something we've looked into doing.
