Question Credit Deductions

Hi, thank you for the support I previously received. I am up and running now.

What I want to use the credits for is for members to "purchase" entry into competitions and raffles.

For example, I am wanting to have a monthly raffle for a selection of items. I want members to be able to "buy" raffle tickets (which will be a manually kept log). What I want is for them to be able to click a button and automatically have, say 50 credits deducted for a ticket.

How can I do this?

I've added a hotfix that should correct this issue. If you re-download RC1 and re-upload the files, that error will be fixed.

Sorry about that :(

OK, so the CHARGE BB Code is now working, but nothing is getting deducted.
Should it give a link, or hide the text until you click it (which then deducts the amount of credits assigned)?

Other people (not yourself, as you own the post) will see a button they can click to purchase access to that content.

That makes perfect sense! And little wonder it wasn't working for me. Just tested it and it works.

OK... so next question... where can I see a log of what people have purchased?

I've just had my partner test it for me, but it doesn't show in the transaction log that she's "spent" any credits.

Are you sure your user group is set up with permissions to see any transaction log?

You can also review the full transaction log via the AdminCP.

Yes, I have set up the admin group to be able to see all transaction logs. But it's only showing the credits earned... not spent. Also, I've "adjusted" a few members credits to test the system and they don't get a notification and it doesn't show on the transaction log either.

Are you sure you have an Adjust event added to the system?

A common mistake people make (and the driving force behind my plan to make events more robust permissions-wise) is thinking the "user groups" setting in the Adjust event controls who can adjust others' credits.

In reality, the "user groups" setting controls who the event applies to. In other words; if you select only Administrators in the adjust event, then try to adjust a moderator or a member, no valid adjust events will be found, and the adjust action will silently fail.
