Hello there.
I'm trying to setup limited quantity account upgrades (Item type -> Usergroup Change but when I try to select a custom payment profile (POLi - made by Painbaker and Ozzy47 ) I do'nt see an option to do so.

When creating these I cannot add either Paypal nor POLi as a payment type under Inventory options. The only option is "Credits" - the pre-created currency added when adding the addon.

What am I doing wrong or what step am I missing?

NB: I do have (but haven't added yet) https://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/store/dragonbyte-ecommerce.371/ but as this isn't a downloadable product, nor a physical product this addon wouldn't apply in this case. This is a "product" that changes a usergroup - a non tangable product

DB Shop does not have any ability to interact with payment profiles. You might be better off using the "Service" product type in DB eCommerce :)

I added in DB eCommerce but there are missing features that DB Shop has;

For example -
  • Inventory quanity (on either, service, product or digital)
  • duration length - only a perm group is added with no option to expire. Only digital removes this option (temp usergroup) at end of a licence.
Under ACL (Australian Consumer Law) a digital product has the same protections and rights as a physical product. And as a Usergroup change is a non tangable item it cannot be provided as a digital good nor a physical good.

The "Service" product type is missing stock quanity options amongst other things.

The "Service" type does not have stock quantity option because it's not intended to be a limited stock product. Also, since it has no expiry date, there would be no way for temporary user group changes to work with the Service product type.

Then, to be blunt, why did you suggest the service type here when I outlined that I was looking to implement here?

I assumed I was clear on what I wanted to acheive and the reasons behind why other options weren't viable in my OP and second post.

I'm confused, are you asking why I didn't read the post replying to my post before making my post?

You outlined what you were looking to implement after I suggested the "Service" product type.
I suggested the "Service" product type because, as far as I knew, all you needed was real-money integration.

The idea I had in my head when suggesting the Service product type would be to manually keep track of purchased upgrade services.

I realise it's not optimal, but eCommerce is the only add-on that directly interacts with payment profiles in a "payment" context - DB Donate is likely not suitable if your laws are this strict.
