I prefer to apply application restrictions, so as a 3rd party cannot runup cost or limitations - domain referrer or server ip address, but it seems we cannot with this addon? I believe the API Key in Options is used for both user browser display and server cron geocoding, and Google only allows you to define domain referrer OR server ip address(es), not both. Am I incorrect, or if correct is there intention to allow different API keys for each scenario?

Also, as per my screenshot below, is this correct with regard to API restrictions - Maps JavaScript API is the only one required.

I don't know, sorry. I've never experimented with the restrictions on the API keys, so I couldn't say, but from the looks of things it would seem like HTTP referrers would be a safe bet.

But won't that stop the cron task Geolocate IP addresses? Since you have a php action coming straight from the server to Google API, and not from a browser via http referrer?

The cron job does not call Google's API. The MaxMind GeoIP database is downloaded to your server from MaxMind's servers, which is what's used to resolve IP addresses :)
