We are using DbTech mail and all of a sudden are getting fatal errors. This is a clip of the last one

Any ideas on why this is occurring?

Fillip,
Thanks for the update. I just purchased a new license for v5.

I deleted v4 from our website & removed all files. I then installed v5 and it is functioning.

It's been so long since I've done it, I don't remember how to setup who gets the emails and how to view the members that are in a given list.

I see clicking "Permissions" will open a list of the various usergroups. But which buttons do I enable to have a given usergroup receive the email.

I tried it with our staff members, clicked their usergroup and the popup box shows me three options: View, Can Subscribe and "Is Auto-Subscribed". There is also a moderators section that has "Send Mail", Manage Mail Lists" and "View Statistics" I am unsure which boxes get checked to add them to the mail list.

When completed, I run the "Reset Cache" for DbTech Mail.

I tried checking all three in the first group. We have six members in the staff usergroup. When I then went to "View Members" in the maillist, it showed me 235 members with 'unknown status' rather than the 6 staff members. Can you advise what I am doing wrong

Thanks

Paul

Sorry, I’m not sure I understand, why did you delete the previous version instead of just upgrading?

I would strongly advise you to restore a backup and perform an upgrade instead.

The expected flow is:
1. Edit the per-mailing list permission and set "Is Auto-Subscribed" to Yes like so:
1759348442352.webp
2. Go to admin.php?dbtech-mail/maintenance/ and run this rebuild action:
1759348485728.webp

The users who have the "Is auto-subscribed" permission for the given mailing list will then be flagged as subscribed.

You should also check the global XenForo permissions such that your "Registered" group has the "Can subscribe" flag set to Yes. That way, all members of your forum will be able to subscribe (unless you have changed their primary user group).

Please note that users who should normally not receive mail (e.g. opted out globally or are not in a "Valid" state, are banned, etc) will not be sent mail even if they are subscribed.

I tried checking all three in the first group. We have six members in the staff usergroup. When I then went to "View Members" in the maillist, it showed me 235 members with 'unknown status' rather than the 6 staff members.
This is expected. Unknown subscription state just means this member is not subscribed nor unsubscribed - they have not chosen yet. There are open feature requests to improve the usability of that page and it will be improved in a future version to make it more useful in the initial view.
