After a period of private Beta testing, we're releasing vBShop v3.1.0 Beta 2 to our Pro customers. This release brings new features that have been developed and tested privately, and have been frequently requested by the community.
The two major features in this release are: The ability to create a "Custom Icon" item that can be deployed in custom locations within the Postbit, and a Feedback module (Pro) that will allow users to send and receive feedback for their transactions with other users.
The "Custom Icon" item type was a feature of the old vBCommerce mod, and allows you to define an icon separate from the existing icons to be used for a special, separate display. You can use these items to add extra flair to a person's post, such as our new "Managing Director Post" mini DBTech icon that displays on top of Cosmic's posts here on our forums.
The Feedback system (Pro-only) allows members to leave a star rating on each transaction (1-5) and also write a short piece of text to go along with the star rating. The shop list will display a small feedback info block, and there's also a new page with a list of all the feedback the shop has received. This is quite useful if your forum uses vBShop's custom shops to, for instance, let members sell their services as a digital artists (Signature / Avatar creation shops). If you have no need of this system, it can be fully disabled via the vBulletin Options.
