We're proud to present vBDownloads v2.1.0, a feature update aiming to add some of the most frequently requested features posted in our forums.
The main feature is a fully featured "Who's Online" display, showing users currently browsing the mod on the home page of vBDownloads. The look & feel is identical to the "What's Going On" box, and most CSS changes your skin performed for that area should also work in vBDownloads. This feature is exclusive to the Pro version.
Additionally, underneath that display is a breakdown of system statistics similar to the "Forum Statistics" of vBulletin's "What's Going On" box. It will display the number of downloads, files, disk space used and bandwidth used. This feature is exclusive to the Pro version. Both these displays can be turned off individually via vBulletin options.
The new uploader will now allow you to choose which image should be used as a thumbnail when inserting a new download or editing an existing one, via a checkbox similar to the "Is Screenshot" indicator already in the system.
For those of you with large images attached to your downloads, you'll be pleased to hear that the system will now generate a small 100x100 thumbnail from the image used as a thumbnail rather than loading the full image each time you load the page. This should significantly cut down bandwidth usage for forums that use vBDownloads to share large images.
There is now a new option available while searching for downloads while browsing a category. The new "Only This Category" checkbox will constrict your search to the category you're currently browsing.
There is now a new usergroup permission to allow users to bypass "minimum posts" requirements. You can now allow premium/donator users to download at will without having to manually increment their post count! This feature is exclusive to the Pro version.
