Hey all,
This week we have for you what just might be the biggest update in DBTech history: vBActivity v3.0.0 (Beta). Before we get down to the good stuff, I would like to remind you that as always, our Beta versions are available to licenced customers with active licences (i.e. licences that still receive updates) only, and that Lite versions will be released when the product goes Gold.
The major features this version include Major Contest Improvements (Pro), Achievement Postbit Display Improvements (Pro), Per-Forum Points (Pro) and New Criteria Available.
As a result of the major contest changes, we would like your feedback on the new design of the Contests page in the front-end, as well as ask that you please focus your testing on the contests feature

vBActivity v3.0.0 (Beta):
Feature: (Pro) Actions that involve specific forums now support setting individual points per forum
Feature: (Pro) "All Trophies" Encyclopedia entry, in the same style as Achievements and Awards
Feature: (Pro) It is now possible to set a smaller Award icon for use in the Postbit
Feature: (Pro) For achievements set up in a hierarchy tree, only the "highest" achievement is shown in the postbit
Feature: (Pro) Each user can now configure their own notification settings for various events
Feature: (Pro) Criteria / Points: Contests Won
Feature: (Pro) Contests can now optionally also award points alongside Awards for winning. Different amounts can be awarded for different positions
Feature: (Pro) Contest Type: Total Points - whoever has the most points at the end of the contest's duration
Feature: (Pro) It is now possible to exclude certain criteria and forums from counting towards the contest (if the action is tied to a forum)
Feature: (Pro) Ability to hide the criteria and forum displays via a setting
Feature: (Pro) In-Progress and Upcoming contests are now displayed
Feature: (Pro) Contests can now be hidden via a per-contest "Is Public" flag
Feature: (Pro) Contest Banners - 2 sizes, for use in the list and full view
Feature: (Pro) UserIDs to PM upon drawing a winner
Feature: (Pro) Winner Alerts - Email, PM or both
Feature: (Pro) Contest Info: Link to discussion thread
Feature: (Pro) In-progress contests now show the current standing
Feature: (Pro) Ability to hide current contest standing for in-progress contests
Feature: "Reason" field can be filled out when granting / requesting / nominating for awards.
Feature: Criteria / Points: Profile Completed (when all required profile fields are filled out)
Feature: It is now possible to hide vBActivity features from Guests in the postbit for SEO reasons
Change: (Pro) The Contests page has received a complete revamp to make it look more modern
Change: Granting an award to a user via the "Manage Users" link now has the award pre-selected
Change: All "List" pages that display usernames now also show a miniature avatar
