As vB Optimise grows in popularity, we've noticed an influx of support requests from people who have incorrectly configured or incompatible installations of APC, eAccelerator or XCache running on their servers. When using vB Optimise's "System Test" feature, it would produce a cryptic and unhelpful error message that neither you - the user - nor your host's tech support people could read anything useful from.
For this reason, we're releasing vB Optimise v2.5.3 which now has an improved error message for those 3 cache systems. In addition to improving the language of the error message, it will now link you to a set of test scripts specific for your opcode cacher, which you can show your web host when contacting them for support.
