Some email domains are poor at sending bounces or XF will just not properly process bounces from the domains. Prime examples are sbcglobal, AOL, yahoo, sky.
There are also domain extensions that are prone to hard bounces, like .edu students move out all the time leaving their uni email dormant.
It would really cut down on erroneous Soft Bounces if we had a setting to always process bounces from specific domains and extensions as hard bounces.
Please consider to implement this.
It would increase sending reputation significantly. This is always important, but for those of us that use SES which as bounce rate limits. Breaching these will freeze your account.
