Bug Advanced Sorting Broken

This was the comment in the last thread:

After some testing I found that this will only happen if only one thread has been posted in in the past week, and the view counter of that thread has not updated yet. As this is not a critical issue I won't be hotfixing this, the fix will be in a future update

This comment makes me think the problem has been misidentified.

Here is a list of my daily new thread creation statistics:

And here is the result of a test digest message sent with advanced sorting selected:

If I change to another sorting option, like views, works as expected.

I'm glad we agree that advanced sorting is not working in some situations. I just think the trigger has been misidentified.

There's no way for me to tell if the issue is fixed for you until the update, but the problem was identified in the new code that was added after the fix you mentioned in the previous thread, and changing the code resolved the issue for me locally.

Since bug fixing isn't always an exact science, I can't categorically state that it will be resolved, but I'm confident

In either case, if the new update doesn't resolve the issue we can always re-visit it, but for now there's no need for a new ticket
