After a period of private Beta testing, we're releasing Advanced Post Thanks / Like v3.1.0 Beta 1 to our Pro customers. This release brings new features that have been developed and tested privately, and have been frequently requested by the community.
One of the most frequently requested features in this mod is the ability to customise the way the "thanks bar" is displayed. We've therefore added a "Cloud Display Style" setting in the vBulletin Options. "Full" displays the bar as you see it now, "No Header" disables the "Post Thanks / Like" header bar, and "Compact" displays only the action buttons and how many people clicked each button - no list of users.
This feature will remain Pro-only once this version goes out of Beta.
Those of you running multi-lingual forums will be pleased to know that we're adding translation support for the various pieces of text that are configurable in the Manage Buttons interface.
This feature will be available to all users once this version goes out of Beta.
If any of you run APTL without the button text, you may have been approached by confused members who can't understand why there's a second "thumbs up" button after they've clicked it once. You are now able to define a separate "click" and "un-click" image. This has the added benefit of making it easier for you to create new images for new buttons, as you can now use any image anywhere as the button image.
You will be able to define a custom "click" icon in the Lite version, but the "un-click" feature is a Pro-only feature and so is the image configuration for it.
Last, but by no means least, the "Post Collapse Threshold" setting that controlled automatic collapsing of posts once they had reached a certain threshold has been removed from vBulletin Options and shifted to the "Forum Manager" page under the "DBTech - Post Thanks" admincp menu group. You can now configure this threshold per-forum.
The Lite version is subject to the same restrictions as the rest of that page.
