Bug XFMG group images not imported from Nobita.

Import from nobita did not import social group media category.
I have a XFMG category for social group images.

Various of these images in this category belong to private groups and should not be visible to the public.

In Nobita groups these images were displayed in the respective social group galleries.
But this has not been imported.
In DBT groups I can set the social groups gallery category. But all categories are greyed out and cannot be selected.

How can I make the group images appear in the galleries of the correct groups?

I can confirm that there is no support for importing XFMG items when importing from that group system as I was not aware of it and/or the version I used for import testing did not have the feature

The reason why the category(ies) are greyed out is the fact that only "Album" type categories can be chosen for the category storage. Please create a new Album type category to enable it to be used for DB Social Groups.

You can then go to the social group page -> Media (in the sidebar) -> Create album -> Link existing album -> enter either the album ID or a link to the album to associate it with that particular social group.

We have 2k+ images in 300 groups. Is there any way to get those images back where they belong?

If the images were not already sorted into albums that can be easily linked, then no.

If Nobita's groups did not utilise albums but rather stored the permissions on a per-image basis, that could also be a possible explanation as to why there is no importer.

Nobita does not utilize albums I'm afraid. Having an album per group makes much more sense than a per image relation.

I guess we have some work to do then, creating albums and moving images to them.

In the meantime, make sure the old parent category is only viewable to staff who should have access to it.

mhm. Its not possible to create empty albums. So I cannot start by creating albums and move images there after the album exists.
I can move media from the old social groups XFMG category to a Personal Album, but this seems the wrong approach.
Im confused.

Could you create the album with a placeholder image and then move the images there?

I was thinking about that, but there will probably be quite a lot of groups that had no media or I cannot find out which media it had. So this would result in albums with only the placeholder media.
