hi!

i just bought the product after using the mgc's product for more a couple of years. i have to say i'm over the moon about this one. it's so much more powerful and resources friendly...

i'm in a phase of customizing it for my community.
first thing i noticed is that (foreign) characters are not supported in full.
an example: letters Č Ć Đ are not displayed, instead of a there's a question mark.

thanks

You can test it out here on DBTech - they're working fine. This can occur if there's a disparity between the content encoding of your database and your forum.

For example, if your database is UTF-8 and your forum's language is ISO-8859-1, or vice versa, this could occur.

Here on DBTech, we run latin1_swedish_ci (MySQL default) and ISO-8859-1 for our DB and forum's language respectively, and those characters show up fine.

Unfortunately it's impossible for me to account for these differences in the code itself :(

yup. that's the case. my sql is in UTF and your products are in swedish.
so: how can i fix that? convert the product's tables to utf? can i mess something up?

thanks for the help!

Is the rest of your database in UTF-8, it's just our product's tables that are not?
