Release notes

This version represents the single biggest addition to eCommerce since its creation; Classifieds support! With this feature, you can (finally) allow members to sell their own products without giving them the ability to make anyone on your forum an administrator. Which would be bad.

First of all, I want to make one thing perfectly clear: The Classifieds feature slots into the existing design - it does not add chat features or "Is this still available?" features like you'd find on online marketplaces. If this proves to be a popular request, it might get added in the future, but for now no such features exist.

To enable Classifieds support after installing the update, go to the settings and enable the Classifieds feature. You can choose what product types are enabled for Classifieds, and what user groups users should be able to assign as temporary or permanent additional user groups. You can also choose what payment providers users should be able to utilise.

From a seller point of view, they will need to access their control panel via the Store -> Your Account link, then set up a "Business Profile". This lets them fill out their seller information similar to what you did in the XenForo Options. They then would go to the "Payment methods" page to configure their payment methods.

Afterwards, they can create products like normal. Appropriate restrictions are in place such that users cannot escalate privileges or reference files on your server when adding downloads.

A tutorial/user guide will be added to your site's FAQ pages in a future version.
