Ah, thanks very much. I see the problem was that I didn't have the navbar tab enabled and that seems to be the only place the link for the customer area shows up.

I edited the issue above although I'm not sure that's particularly helpful, we haven't installed vBulletin on the site yet. We're just looking into options right now.

So are users that buy ad space able to see the stats for their own ads? I'm testing on a XAMPP box and don't see any way for people that aren't admins to see stats for their own ads. Hope I'm not missing something very obvious, thanks!
