So a possible solution is style highlighting. I know you said it's hard to debug but maybe any other clues as to what could be the issue? Is it AJAX that is responsible for checking and sending the update to the tab?
I searched on the forums here and as well on Google but couldn't find any info. It says the lite version is supposed to notify you of new messages in each chat tab but for some reason it isn't doing that.
I use Chrome and this isn't working but I know other members use other browsers such as IE...

Is there anyway to turn off the notifications in the free version from showing up when a member creates a new blog post. I have all notifications turned off but for some reason blog posts are still showing up.
