Is there a manual available for SEO Pro? I have it currently installed but turned off since I am getting lots of 404 errors, apparently point to non existent or not caught URLs

At this moment I don't even know what to ask, so therefore the question for a manual

404 errors are most commonly a result of not editing the .htaccess file in the same directory as your forum is located, and/or running alternate webservers like Nginx and not applying the proper rewrite rules to its configuration.

Can you please confirm whether you have either uploaded the supplied .htaccess file from the /do_not_upload folder (if you didn't have a .htaccess file already), or that you edited your existing .htaccess file as per the readme.txt document?

Yes, I copied and edited the supplied file.

Maybe if that helps: When I click on the "forums" tab it directs me back to the "Whats new?" tab, (which is the default)

Thank you, we are slowly getting there. With a manual I would not have to bother, but alas.

Now I can select all the tabs in the navbar I see all the forums, but on many forums I get a 404. And on the forums I see I get 404 on threads. I believe I did clear the cache. Doing all those tests on a live forum is somewhat nerving.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Update: I have made some configuration changes on your forum and it appears to work as intended now :)

I should warn you that your Forum URL format settings may introduce problems if two forums resolve to the same SEO'd URL. You can fix this by customising the URL formats to also include the [forum_id] variable. This will also provide a slight boost to performance.
