Hi,

I tried to activate the CDN Integration of vB Optimise. When I enter my Windows Azure details everything seems to work fine. The data syncs and the site works fine in Firefox and Opera. However one browser tells me, that not everything is as it should be: Internet Explorer is precise and does not load non-HTTPS data when visiting a HTTPS site. After I realised that the files that are stored in the CDN are not called in Internet Explorer I realised that HTTPS overall had gone with the CDN integration.

Is it not possible to utilize CDN when the vBulletin board is running via HTTPS?
If it is possible, how do I have to do it, where do I have to make changes?

Kind regards,
Cornelius

I haven't looked at the Windows Azure configuration, but if it allows you to set the URL to the CDN then wouldn't adding https to that work?

It turns out http:// is hardcoded into the API.

If you open /dbtech/vboptimise_pro/includes/cdn/windows_azure/Microsoft/WindowsAzure/Storage.php and find public function getBaseUrl() you can change the http:// there.

Do note that this is entirely untested.

This seems to work perfectly. Could you change this in the next version of your add-on, to make sure that https is chosen when the board is running via https?

As your support has already been far better than expected, I don't await that you change something about the following, but I still wanted to let you know: When I add more folders to the CDN so that the amount of synced files reaches 5000 or more, syncing will never finish. Either there is no end to the step "Trimming items that only require a sync..." or I receive an error message like this:

Couldn't the board sync the files to the CDN automatically in the background? This would enable me to send the massive picture attachments (over 30000 files) to the CDN.
