I'm having some trouble with images since 1.4~2.0. I have set the extensions correctly and allowed adequate 'maximum height/width'.

gif image/gif 5.00 MB 3000 px 2000 px [Manage] [Remove]
jpeg image/jpeg 5.00 MB 3000 px 2000 px [Manage] [Remove]
jpg image/jpeg 5.00 MB 3000 px 2000 px [Manage] [Remove]
png image/png 5.00 MB 3000 px 2000 px [Manage] [Remove

I am finding that images with .jpg (lowercase) extensions work and .JPG (uppercase) extensions do not work. I cannot however add an extension for JPG when jpg exists.

Windows 7 and 8 creates capitalized extensions by default. Some users are becoming frustrated their thumbnails are not displaying

How can I resolve this without having Windows 8 users regedit their extensions?

Can you be more specific as to what you're referring to when you're saying they don't work?

Are you having an issue with uploading pictures?

I can upload and view a picture with the lowercase extension

I can upload but not view a picture with a capitalized extension

In an upcoming release I'll add a fix to prevent new files from being saved with a capitalised extension.

Meanwhile, I think you'll need to rename the files manually on your server - I don't currently see a way to guess the capitalisation of the file extension that will make it backwards compatible :(
