Question Delete event and recalculate ... is it obligatory?

Hello. A quick question. I want to delete an event (tags)
If I delete it, I have to recalculate the credits? I do not mind your users to retain credits for labels of the past, but do not want to join in the future.

You should be able to prune all existing events by going to Recalculate User Accounts -> Show Advanced -> Select the event from the list -> Prune Existing: Yes -> Process All Users: Yes -> Update

Once that's complete, it should be safe to delete the event.
