Bought the pro version just for the CMS and Sidebar block and nothing. I did the overwrite when upgrading I checked the settings and all I get is the forum home block just below the navbar just like on the Lite version.

What am I doing wrong?
Daniel

Have you checked to see if new blocks are available?

If they are not, can you try clicking the Rebuild Block Cache link? If that is not available without debug mode, can you try clicking the Clear System Cache link under the Maintenance ACP menu area?

I did everything you said and I still see the same Nomination Sidebar Block that came with the Lite version. I tried to enable it and got nothing.

I checked the settings and I see settings to display the forum home block and when I turn that on I get the one across the top. Turn it off and make sure the Forum sidebar block settings are turned on and still nothing.

I also dont see a CMS widget anywhere.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

The issue was that the installer only generates the widget if you are installing the Pro version in the first place, it doesn't generate the widget if you are upgrading to Pro at a later date.

I've passed this on to the developer and I have manually ran the widget generation code @ your site so you should now have the widget available :)

The widget block now shows but there's nothing inside of it. I tried making nominations to see if they would be applied and nothing.

Still no forum side block either????

As per the feature list, both the CMS Widget and the Forum Sideblock only show results of the latest nominations that have ended. Since the rotating nominations by design have no end, they are not included in the list.

At the moment, the mod does not store previous winners for rotating nominations.
I understand this is not optimal for your needs but unfortunately it's not feasible to re-design the functionality of the mod on-the-fly like this.

Sorry I couldn't bring better news :(

EDIT: I've spoken with the developer and it seems that rotating nominations do show historical entries in the forum home and CMS blocks, but only past nominations - as far as I can tell there's no blocks for ongoing nominations.

So your saying there's no way to show the Current nominated threads in any side block... Just the winners of past nominated threads.

Couldn't the display in the CP of the current nominated threads be posted in a side block. That would make more sense so members know what threads are being nominated.

That is my current understanding of the situation, from talking with the developer, yes.

It's not exactly copy/pastable, there is no block to display the ongoing nominations because there weren't any demand for it, according to the developer.

So when you were looking at the settings do they look correct for a recurring monthly poll? Like I said Ive been messing with it for so long that Im just unsure.

And, will the forum sideblock finally show once a poll is started or just after a poll is finished? Same for the widget that sits empty right now.

It will only show the results once a poll has finished. I couldn't find anything incorrect about your settings, however we'll need to see how it works once a poll has ran its course to be sure.
