I want to split up the status is there a hook that positions it at the moment in legacy?

If I remove all the code from dbtech_status_postbit and copy it into legacy underneath avatar will anything call to the original template and bring back an error to not finding anything?

If I understand you correctly, the status isn't showing in your postbit legacy or you want to move it to another position?

As there is no template hook defined for 'After avatar' removing line 33 completely will stop the status showing in that location?
