Legacy Separate (exclude) notifications from the main shoutbox channel

hi!

my question is pretty simple: how do i exclude notifications from the main shoutbox channel, thus keeping it only in the notifications channel? i can't seem to find that function. the way it is now, notifications are doubling and the shoutbox is messed up.

Each user has to hide the notifications in the UserCP options for vBShout.

hm.. i'm aware of this option but what this does is completely hide notifications from a user's perspective. i don't want that.
i'd like to separate notifications window from chat/shouts window.

i hope i made myself more clear.

It'll only hide it completely if the user has disabled the Notifications tab (or it's been globally disabled), otherwise it'll show up there

aha. ok. so this may become a discussion about feature request?
there is notifications tab/room available by default and i don't a reason to multiply information on both ends. i mean, there should be a switch for regulating the information flows in separate channels.

what do you think?

I'll change this to a Feature Request so it can be taken into consideration for future versions
