Legacy Request: Additional Sitemap Options

A few sitemap options that would be useful:

Sitemap Settings - General Settings -
1) Ability to set time for automatic sitemap generation. Currently if you change the cron job time directly it gets overwritten on upgrades.

Sitemap Settings - Custom Sitemap URLs - Import Custom Sitemap URLs -
1) Ability to set an absolute url for the URL List. Currently you need to relocate the file locally each time you re-import.
2) Save the priority range. Currently you need to reset the priority range before each import, even though in most circumstances it would probably never change.
3) Button to empty the current sitemapurl table.

You mean choose a new default priority range?

What do you mean?

Allow user to enter a url location for the file instead of just the option of selecting a file from your local harddrive. Then allow this url location to be saved.

2) Save the priority range. Currently you need to reset the priority range before each import, even though in most circumstances it would probably never change.

You mean choose a new default priority range?

Yes, save the priority range from the last import if it was changed from the default setting. This way each time a user imports they will not need to continually reset it, assuming under most circumstances it will not change after the first time a user sets it.

v1.0.4 will feature support for automatically importing URLs from a static file (configurable via an option in the Page Settings under Sitemap Settings), alongside two new settings for default Update Frequency and Priority Range that will affect both the manual and automatic URL imports.

There will also be a Prune function for the Custom Sitemap URLs on the same page the manual import can be found.

Lastly, there's now a time of day setting for the sitemap cron job.
