Legacy Multiple notifications, reseting counter to 0 or mark as read

Hello,
after clicking in some notification link (mentions... quotes...), there is a redirect to member profile tab and counter for that notification type is set to 0.

After that, if you click in other tab (under user profile) with pending notifications, counter is not set to 0.

This is working as intended, and cannot be changed at this time. Every single profile tab is loaded when you load a member's profile, we have no way to detect whether you have actually viewed this tab or not, making the notifications essentially useless.

A good solution could be create an independent page for notifications (mentions, quotes, tags..) with independent links.
That also could make easier integration with mobile versions.

Just an idea for a new pro feature.

That's not a bad idea, though it's not certain we'll add mobile style support even if we do add this feature, but I'll re-open this and flag it as Under Consideration
