I purchased Lifetime license for VBShout, price paid was $95 USD
I checked in the Clientarea and my vBShout package an option for me to update the license..
I purchased the PRO, correct???
apparently I do not have the PRO version.
Please advise.

Can you try going to the Language Manager and click [Rebuild All Languages]?

If that doesn't work, click Control Panel Home and make sure MySQL Packet Size is set to 128 MB or higher.

You do have the Pro version. The upgrade option is related to the fact that we have a vB5 licence that you can either replace your vB4 licence with, or buy a "Dual Licence" that gives you the Pro version of both the vB4 and vB5 versions for a discounted price.

If you do not wish to run a vB5 forum using the Pro version of this mod, feel free to ignore that upgrade option.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

There is no way for me to setup individual usergroups because the text description for each setting is missing. Please advise.

The screen you are showing me is not from vBShout. vBShout only has 1 entry in vBulletin's "Usergroup Manager" screen.

I have edited my attachment... the second question mark brings up this admin help.
If you haven't done so already, please delete the following files from your /includes/xml/ folder:

* bitfield_vbshout.xml
* bitfield_vbshout_pro.xml
* cpnav_vbshout.xml
* cpnav_vbshout_pro.xml
* hooks_vbshout.xml
* hooks_vbshout_pro.xml

The new files are named:

* bitfield_dbtech_vbshout.xml
* bitfield_dbtech_vbshout_pro.xml
* cpnav_dbtech_vbshout.xml
* cpnav_dbtech_vbshout_pro.xml
* hooks_dbtech_vbshout.xml
* hooks_dbtech_vbshout_pro.xml

These instructions can also be found in the vBShout v5.4.0 Upgrade Notes, which is intended for forums upgrading from vBShout v5.3.x or lower.

anyway .. I am now trying to give unregistered user access to Shoutbox. please advise.
Instance Management -> Edit -> Usergroup Permissions.

As per the instructions, and my previous post, please make sure you delete the old files (if they exist) listed. Do not do anything with the new files listed.
