So I was wondering is "Listing Length" the time the item will be on sale then disappear? is so, is there a way to make it never disappear?

Not at the moment, though you can arrange for long listings. We're working on v2 which will mean we'll be looking at the possibility of changing that, and some of the new listing types planned might well require that sort of option.
