Hello,

I am having the same problem this thread reported.

I deleted the extra line per this post, but when I go to Recalculate User Accounts the system tells me it has updated the user; however nothing happens.

I have tried on myself as well as other accounts but the tables don't actually update the point count.

This happens on my main board as well as my test board.

Can you please describe step-by-step what exactly you are doing so that I can investigate this further?

Certainly :)

I log into my admin CP from there DBTech - vBCredits -> Recalculate User Accounts -> I put in a username and click "exact match" I change the points to what I want them to be (I have tried both currencies to see if one was bugged but not another - neither work). I click "update users" and it tells me the user is updated but nothing changes.

I'm unable to replicate this issue here on this site. I successfully updated my credits via the exact steps you described.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Update: I've been unable to resolve this issue on your forum. Would it be okay for me to disable all other products on your site in order to test for conflicts? I didn't want to do this without permission since it is a live site.

I'm not sure exactly how long I'd need, I could also close the forum for maintenance if you'd rather not subject your members to mods randomly disappearing.

Fillip H. Thank you for taking the time to look into it :)

Disabling and testing is fine. If you are doing one mod at a time that is OK, I will let the members know things may randomly disappear and not to panic. If for any reason you need to shut the board down for a more in depth test that is ok as well. I appreciate you looking into this.

EDIT: I was going to mention this secondary issue afterwards (in a new thread once this problem was resolved), but I don't know if maybe they are connected and you'll want to check it all in one shot? If I add a currency to the vbshop (with the point table being 'user' since otherwise it won't let me add it) whenever I click any board link from the homepage it gets a database error. If I delete the currency from it, all is well again. I don't expect you to look into this, but I wanted to mention it in case it is something you may be familiar with and if it helps with the current problem.

Just to let you know, I haven't forgotten about this issue - I've just been swamped with work for a massive update we're planning on Friday. I may not have a chance to look into it further until I'm all prepared, as you can tell this isn't an easy fix.

Sorry :(

Not a problem at all. I am just grateful you are helping look into it.

I can do some testing myself by disabling plugins and seeing if any of them being disabled gets the file to work as well if that helps for when you're able to come back and look. :)

I will update this will my results.

Was this resolved? I seem to be having the same issue. Would like to know what's going on.

I've not been able to find a reason for this yet, but I'm not done looking yet :)

Seems like this is a Lite-only issue. I've patched v2.1.1 and on Tinkerbell 's site, it should work now :)

Fillip H.

I was having some vbshop issues so I was going to uninstall and do a fresh slate - only when I uninstalled my entire forum got an error.

The only way I was able to get the forums back was to disable vb credits.

Since you patched mine does that mean there isn't a public download (I used the one from vbulletin.org)? If it is updated there then great I can download it and reinstall/update sine if I reactivate it at the moment I am going to get the error again. I think I am going to need to remove it completely and start from scratch on this as well. Please advise :)
