Today one of the users donated but they did not get added to the donators usergroup at all, not sure why.
I do believe I setup the permissions correctly since it worked for the last several donors.

Is there usergroup set in the settings, Usergroups Not Allowed To Change Groups or Usergroups Not Allowed To Add Groups in the Change Usergroup Settings group?

If so remove the group from those settings.

Ok and was the option Usergroups Not Allowed To Add Groups set like that before the person contributed?

The user was in The 47 Ronin Group, few others like Haze and couple others were in the 47 ronin group before and it worked fine.

I just tried a test donation on your site via sandbox and it did indeed add me to the Donator group

I also tried by making a real donation and it added me to the Donator group, so I don't know why the other user was not added.

Strange, could you try sandbox using one of The 47 Ronin users and promote your ozzytest account to a ronin member?

Went ahead and reversed the real donation.

Would it be also possibly to edit specific users donations and promote them manually?

I tried the way you said and it did add the ozzy test user to the Donator group.

The only thing right now you can do is edit the user in question and manually add then to the Donator group, if the issue persists for some reason, I will have to add a field in the edit contribution screen and add that option.

same thing has happened to me for some reason the user was confirmed but not added the group i specified and i have everything ticked correctly

Without any way of reliably reproducing it I don't know what I can do to fix it. I doubt it, but is there any errors in your server logs that may point to what went wrong?

steris56 did you convert from the awcoding software?
I just had another user last night same thing happened with them.

Can you find any errors in your logs about the same time the user made the donation?

I went through the error logs and no recent errors.

Update: It looks like they are already in the donate group (Probably from last months donations they made under the awcoding system), but the username color change does not take effect at all.
I am not sure what else to do since I have no errors.

What I am thinking is if they donated under the awcoding system and then they donate again the following month the change does not take effect under the new donation system?

yes that is exactly what happened to me they are confirmed and show up as paid but they do not change into the user group ....we had to manually change them at this point

i have no errors what so ever in the logs so not sure what is up ..

Did you upgrade from AWC's donation mod, or was this the first donation system you had installed?

i had vsa prior to this however i took out all the files for vsa and un installed it prior to putting in vbdonate so it was a clean install

IcEWoLF steris56 I may have this fixed, but it is rather difficult to say for sure, re download the product, and upload the file, vbdonate_gateway.php

No need to load any other files, or import the xml. If the issues does happen again, let me know and I will do some more digging.
