Bug admins do not receive quote notifications

Yes, I have a test server and that's an idea. However, my personal Internet connectivity went away on Wednesday and has not returned since. Consequently, I've been relegated to dial-up connections until my new service is installed in a week or two. I've been having trouble with sending and...

Bug admins do not receive quote notifications

I have tested the subscription cycling requirement yet again and the tests have confirmed that the cycling is indeed necessary to cause the vB notification emails to begin being sent. Again, this even works with the admin email accounts, but only for the vB thread reply notifications. And I...

Bug admins do not receive quote notifications

I guess I don't understand how an issue with the server's smtp mechanism could force a requirement for vB thread subscription status to be cycled before accepting outgoing notifications to the send queue. My basic two questions would be: 1) How can smtp software on a physical server know whether...

Bug admins do not receive quote notifications

Thanks for the reply. The 'Receive Email from Administrators' UserCP option is one of the first things I checked and has always been enabled. There is no general 'Receive Emails from Members' option on the UserCP page but the other two email notification options there, 'Receive Friendship...

Bug admins do not receive quote notifications

Okay, this is a concern that has arisen from the issue I posted about yesterday which turned out to be an email filtering problem on the recipients' end. So it's unrelated. Or at least it appears so. However, the issue has come to focus because of the very troubleshooting steps performed during...

Bug notification emails no longer being sent

The server error logs are clear. As it turns out, it was a filter issue on the recipients' end. Coincidentally, they each had spam filters enabled that were hitting on messages from the newly implemented MTA . Exempting the address in their filters fixed the issue. Thanks!

Bug notification emails no longer being sent

This may somehow be related to an outgoing mail system failure that began on August 22, 2016. All email transmitted by our forum software was configured to go through our Gmail account. It had been working dependably this way for years. On the evening of August 22, all outgoing forum messages...

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

Please relegate this matter to a nonissue. I had created a private usergroup for certain members. My testing accounts were each members of this new usergroup. Somehow the new usergroup's AUT permission for hash tags had been set to "yes". So it was working correctly by disallowing hash tag...

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

Before I do that, will you please attempt to duplicate this issue within your testing environment utilizing the browser versions I've given to you? The hash tags are detected and linked perfectly when submitted from Firefox. The newest FF version I've tested is 46.0.0. There has been no change...

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

This post is from Firefox 43.0.1 for a follow-up #test EDIT: Okay then. You must have it disabled here.

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

I'm using only the tag word #test EDIT: Is there a reason why my hash symbol-prefaced word "#test" doesn't create tag link here upon submission either? Have you perhaps disabled that functionality on this forum site?

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

The forum is using ISO-8859-1, Chrome is set on UTF-8, and IE is set on Western European (ISO). Don't the browsers auto-negotiate on character sets?

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

I'll check to confirm. But the forum default character set is used regardless of the accessing browser, isn't it? And FF works with whatever that is. If each browser can force another character set, that could be an issue I suppose. Again, I'll have a look and report back. Or maybe I'm missing...

Question Hash tags no longer submitting as links with Google Chrome or IE (only with Firefox)

Well, I got to experimenting with the hash tags this morning... they don't get used very often. Our forum is small and there's not much inclination among its members to use hash tags. But I would nonetheless like them to work properly. They used to work fine with each of the browsers named...

Question How do I remove invalid hash tags?

That makes more sense. Thank you. You know, it would be nice if there were an admin function added to quickly purge invalid hash tags. Because it's quite easy for users to accidentally create meaningless ones.

Question How do I remove invalid hash tags?

I only see the following templates: dbtech_usertag_block_hashes dbtech_usertag_hashlist dbtech_usertag_hashsubscription dbtech_usertag_hashsubscription_bit There is no dbtech_usertag_hash template that I can find.

Question How do I remove invalid hash tags?

Is there a way to purge them from the sidebar before the hash tag display duration expires?

Question How do I remove invalid hash tags?

How can I easily remove erroneous hash tags which members have accidentally created? An example would be when a member enters a hash symbol followed by a number and then forgets to include a space before they begin typing additional characters. Thanks
