Question CSS Locations?

I am trying to edit the shoutbox colours on different themes, but I am having problems with the text area, and the menu bar, shown in this image. There is a white box, and a menu bar that is blending in with the background, where can I find the place to change these colours?

You can use the F12 browser inspection tool to find the CSS locations, at the moment I don't have a vB 5.4 test board set up so I can't give more specific instructions unfortunately

Okay, I think some of the things it's using might be part of vB, since I can't find anything else within the element tool that needs changing.
