Bug Special characters in link causing 404 not found

This thread is also the same as my previous thread, which is already closed.
Google sent notification about 404 error for posts that contains special character in the URL.

Here is a sample of 404 page:
https://www.tsikot.com/forums/garage-150/cool-cars-sightings-[archived]-7610/index127.html
https://www.tsikot.com/forums/garage-150/cool-cars-sightings-[archived]-7610/index127.html

This is the working URL of the above link:
https://www.tsikot.com/forums/garage-150/cool-cars-sightings-archived-7610/index127.html

Heres the settings:
utf-8 disabled
Remove Non-Latin Characters didnt work
Replace Non-Latin Characters didnt work

Use the character filter to remove [ and ] from the url

How can I remove [ and ] using the custom character filter?

The description of the custom character filter should tell you how to add characters

[ => this is the correct one.

Do bear in mind it will only affect generation of new URLs, not clicking an existing one.

How about for the old URLs which causing 404 errors? Do you have any suggestion for the old URLs to redirect on the working URL like my sample int he first post?

If you mean old URLs already linked in posts, then unfortunately not. You would need to manually edit those posts.

No, not inside the post.
The links came from google, they reported URLs with special character are causing 404 error.
But the actual link in the forum doesn't contain special character

I see, in that case you would need to wait for Google to re-index those URLs, or manually redirect them via .htaccess.
