I'm trying out vBmail and thinking about the pro version. I have already noted that you can just turn the navigation bar tab on and off.

I have vBMail lite mod installed on my test installation. If I turn the tab to "on" the tab appears to users who aren't registered or logged in. I've consulted the manual for vBMail at the start of this thread but can't see where I change the permissions for this.

Problem is that the tab shows the email address that a given list is sent from and if that is clearly visible to people who aren't registered or logged in then that will generate a lot of spam.

How and where do you change this setting?

Unfortunately that cannot be done, since usergroup permissions are per-mailinglist and not global :(

That's a pity.....

That's a pity. It would be an advantage to be able to set the permissions so that only registered users could view the tab. I guess you could change the field with the sent from email address to say "information" and set an automatic reply email address advising people on how to subscribe or unsubscribe.
