Just opened new site and I'm using lite version of vBNotifications there.

Anyway, when user gets mentioned, he gets notification with correct link as far as I can say (Zainteresiraj.me), as it is same on first look as with pro version on my other site, where it works, but now I have vB4.2 here, and there is 4.1.12. After a click, user doesn't go to Mentions tab, but to Activity tab. Also, even after I click on Mentions tab, notification isn't dismissed. I need to dismiss it manually.

I'm not sure if it is problem only with light version, or problem with vB4.2, or maybe something with AUT, but I use latest AUT version 3.0.5 (downloaded from vborg).

I don't have vBSEO on new site. But, I tried to use it, it made a problem even worse. It led me to blank screen, with this link: Zainteresiraj.me

Here it stands stuck.

When I return to no vBSEO compatibility it works again as described.

I just manually added mentions at the end of a link (as it should be), it dismissed notifications.

So, it only needs somehow make vBNotifications to correctly pass tab name, not leave it empty.

If it works in Pro but not in Lite, and they're both the same version, it should be easy enough for me to do a comparison between the two and see if I can find a cause.

I'll investigate this and post back if I need more info :)

Just to stress again, pro version runs fine on vB4.1.12, and lite version I run on 4.2. Maybe there's something different in vB?

Anyway, see if there's a difference why it doesn't work in lite version.

I've made some updates to the Lite version that may fix this. Please note that it will not fix existing notifications, you need to clear all notifications that are broken before you will receive possibly working ones.

I'm sorry to report, whatever you did, didn't helped. It still doesn't pass correct tab information. :(

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

I've patched your site and the live download here at DBTech, thanks :)

You will want to change any existing accounts' passwords and delete any temporary accounts you set up for us now, unless there are any further issues :)

Thank you.

I tested mentions and quotes, everything worked fine, excellent job. If I'll have new problems, I'll contact you.

Just from curiosity, what the problem was? Something with vB4.2? Or something else?

Nah it was a bug in the non-vBSEO implementation of the link redirect. We didn't encounter it here because we have vBSEO enabled :)
