I think I will have to back away from all the mods I have from you guys. As of now my site seems to be slowing way down. I think I sort of over did it with all your mods I got.

ARCADE:
One of my biggest problem is with the arcade. After I imported the games I started getting errors and the whole system slowed down. I think this will be the first mod I will have to drop. I have blank pages on the Manage Scores and Manage Categories. Then after that now the games will not say they been played or keep score and more. Yes I had it working right before.

CREDITS:
Then after that I have a few problems with the credits. I guess I really don't need the credits because I have the Activity and the Shop.. It does not seem it all goes together so well with the rest of the mods.. On top of that I have a blank page at Activity Amounts Configuration.

REGISTRATION:
I had some kind of errors in the Registration Mod until I un-installed it and re-did the whole mod.. I come to find out the if you put a 0 in how many people can send it really is not. Even though it says: Enter 0 for infinite invites.

I am at the point of thinking I don't have something right with my PHP? I re-did my whole site and started it fresh to dropped other peoples mods I thought were giving me the problems with yours. But when I did a fresh install and only had your mods on there. I was still having the problems. the whole site bogged way down. After I uploaded the games into the arcade is when I started to have the blank pages and errors really bad.

I know there is a lot more going on wrong with some more of the mods I have from you guys, but as of right now I am at the point that I don't want to do it anymore and just do the stock VB forum and loose all the money I paid for all the mods I do have from you guys. It is not that you guys have not tried to help. As of what happened yesterday. One part of the arcade got fix but then that cause two other worse problems with the arcade and other mods.. I just think I went and wanted way to much from you guys. You all do make some great mods but don't think they all match up together.. I know here you guys have all the mods on but I am far from a programmer and you guys know your mods.. I don't.. You guys know if there is an error here you have others to help out that may know better. I am alone..

Well that is my problem. Thanks for all the great mods and all the great help..

Hey,

We've taken a look at your error logs and it would appear as if your PHP version has backported a security feature from PHP 5.3.9 - we've set max_input_vars to 10000 in the php.ini file which should hopefully take care of your blank page issues.

Could you try the actions that caused a blank page before again, and see if they are still happening for you?

I'll send you a PM regarding the other issues you have with the mods so we can try to work them out :)

Hey,

I'm sorry you had a problem with registration. I looked at the mod and it was an oversight of mine that I didn't include a check to see if it was 0 before doing the rest of the code. :(

I have hotfixed this in the download. You can fix this yourself by redownloading the files and reuploading upload/dbtech/registration/profile.php

In the Arcade the Manage Categories, and Manage Scores are still blank.. In the vbcredits the Activity Amounts Configuration is still blank..

As of right now i am not too worried abou the registrations until I have the base of the site set right.. Thanks though.. That was the main part I think i came out with on that mod.. i saw you had a hot fix for the DOB..

Just so I'm absolutely certain I'm not misunderstanding you: You're saying that just clicking Manage Categories produces a blank page, and not trying to submit any forms on that page?

Have you tried it in alternative browsers?

In case you missed it, this question is still unanswered:

re:

Well I just deleted all of the arcade.. But you only had the side block.. There was no iner page for any settings.. here is a screen shot of the Credits

I've turned on error display globally for your site, try again and see if you get an error message now.

Right away i got this:
Warning: getimagesize([path]/dbtech/gallery/images/upload/1/1/thumb/_.) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/dbtech/gallery/actions/widget.php on line 153

Warning: getimagesize([path]/dbtech/gallery/images/upload/1/1/thumb/_.) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/dbtech/gallery/actions/widget.php on line 153

I refreshed and everything was fine.. Then went to the credits and still the same as the image above and no errors

I'm beginning to suspect there is something tied to your specific account, due to your consistency in being able to get the blank pages, and our consistency in being unable to.

Would it be possible to set a new password to the account you normally use to login with, and share the new password with us (via PM)? You can change the password back once we are done testing with it.

We've still been unable to diagnose what's causing the display you're seeing.

That being said, quite frankly we believe you should consider switching hosts. Server loads as high as you're experiencing is a symptom of something being wrong on your server, either they oversold it or something else is wrong. The issues you're experiencing are probably also related to server configuration.

My advice would be go to with a VPS from https://www.sparknode.com/ - they're the VPS partner of our hosting company. This will give you much greater control over what's installed on your server, and subsequently both them and us would be able to fix any issues much faster and neater.
After all, if a server module on a shared server with 50 accounts causes your site to malfunction, they're a lot less likely to disable it than if it's a server module on a VPS with 1 account - yours ;)

If you do end up switching to SparkNode for a VPS, you should get in contact with Cosmic first and he can hook you up with their sales team - we'd be able to get you a good deal on a cPanel/WHM enabled VPS :)

In addition, if you end up going with SparkNode, we'll reinstall all our mods on your new server for free, check that they are all working and - if you want us to - install any necessary server modules for them to function optimally :)

Well that would be an option if I made money with the site.. I would have to really think hard about that one.. I still have a year and a half left where I am.. I have spent so much money on this site and never asked for a dime from anyone.. between the hosting, VB, and the mods I got from you guys.. I'm broke.. HAHA..

Here is a big question.. I have or had CometChat on my site.. I just removed it.. Do you think that could be slowing the system down?

TBH I think it is a problem with the DNS or something on the server, here is what I get when I ping the site:

C:\Users\Chris>ping yoursite.com

Trace complete.

Being that the host is in Utah I should be able to reach it no problem, but something else is going on with it besides mods you have installed. Although they could have ping turned off, it's a valuable troubleshooting tool, so it is unfortunate.

Could that be the PHP? When I re did the site I deleted my php.ini file and had to redo it.. I see they have different options for the php files.. i tried the new php file and could not get VB installed.. So I dropped dowm to the old PHP files..

When you removed cometchat, did the site get faster? Realtime chat systems like this are notorious for causing high loads if they dont properly regulate how often they send requests to your server to check for new messages.

We even went so far as to disable ALL addons on your site, and not only did the load on your server not decrease (which would indicate a problem with one of your addons) but it appeared to get worse...
