Lottery floods the scheduled task log...

After installing vbShop my scheduled task log has been flooded with entries by this product..
And I'm wondering why it's making that many logs..

This is an example..

There was a desire expressed to be told more about what happened during lottery processing

Isn't a lottery meant to be run once every x days or so?

Yes, but you can have multiple lotteries running at any point in the day/week/etc... so we need to check periodically to see if any lotteries require processing. The log means little really, if the task finds no lotteries that require processing it'll do nothing. Additionally to ensure load isn't an issue the cron only tackles 1 lottery at a time, so the quick succession of the task means several lotteries grouped together can execute very close to each other.

If you wish you can edit the scheduled task entry and disable logging in the options
