DBTECH doesn’t have these mods, and I didn’t want to harass them about working on some other mods so I bit the bullet and paid the $60 dollar (monthly subscription fee) for Dave’s services.

Forum-Skins Notifications: Haven’t tried to install it yet. Look similar to vbnotifications but has vbseo likes support. I would try it out but I don’t have a proper test board up atm since a lot of these mods don’t seem to be working as intended.

Forum Slider: An interesting slider for the CMS. I don’t like that there’s not a vb:raw I can use to place it in there so the widget code is around it. It takes from the RSS so that has to be turned on for it to work. I don’t like that I can’t add images after the fact, or I can’t just select certain threads to link. Would be nice if it was a “Promote To Article” feature that put it on our CMS too. At least had the option to.

Side Kick Slider: Didn’t work, but I didn’t play with it too much.

Ad Revenue Share: This and the forum-slider were the biggest reasons why I got his package. It does insert the ad for the forum, but it doesn’t add the ad per usergroup. My article writers all get database errors trying to apply this.

SEO linked threads: Supposed to put similar threads inside the post. Doesn’t work.

Anyways, so I paid the price and we’ll see if his support pans out.

One of the biggest reasons I spend so much time/money with dbtech is because of the support and the pricing options. His pricing options suck, but I really wanted a slider that worked with vbulletin (this one sort of does) and the revenue sharing modification. So far I’m not too happy because these things didn’t work as advertised/intended out of the box. We’ll see how well the service is as the time goes on.
