Is there a way to integrate vBActivity with your thanks/likes mod? I only see vB tagging listed in the product page. I think it would make a lot more sense to give users points for receiving likes than it would to give them points for being mentioned.

Additionally, is there a way to use vBActivity points alongside usergroup promotions? The idea here would be to unlock new account upgrades (custom username color, etc) as they level up in vBActivity.

This is already a feature, though it may be listed on the Thanks page and not the vBActivity page since that's the mod that has all the integration code.

Once you install APTL and vBAA, edit and save each button to create the integration features. Then, the new Points Settings are available in vBAA, and APTL functionality can be used in Criteria :)

It's currently not possible to tie level-ups to Promotions, due to the fact that levels are calculated on the fly rather than stored.

A semi-related question. I see that users can purchase points. I would like to give users the option to purchase the ability to earn double experience in vBActivity. Would that be possible? Maybe via a separate usergroup or something of the sort?

Is there any way to tie a user's level to account upgrades? Such that when someone levels up, there is something visually with their account (IE username color) to differentiate them from other levels?

There's no per-usergroup points settings at this time so that's not possible, sorry :(

Not at this time, no :(

I'm a bit confused. This thread seems to imply that the mod does include promotions. Is that a different type of promotion?
Yeah, that's criteria based promotions. You can promote users in a similar way to vB's built-in promotions system by setting up new criteria.

What criteria are available (I guess this is technically a pre-sales question for the pro version)? Apparently level isn't one of them, but is points one of them? In that case I could just set up promotion based on points and make the point cutoffs match the level upgrades.

Ex:
100 points = level 1
250 points = level 2
500 points = level 3
etc

Promotions:
100 points = promote to level 1 account upgrade usergroup (green username)
250 points = promote to level 2 account upgrade usergroup (bold username)
500 points = promote to level 3 account upgrade usergroup (blue username)
etc

Would that be possible?

Those look like the actions that can be used to gain points. My question is what things can be used to trigger promotions?

Can a user be promoted to a different usergroup when they reach a certain number of points? Early in this thread you mentioned that they could not, however in those other threads that I linked you seemed to imply that they could, hence my confusion.

Or are you saying that people can be promoted by posts, threads, thread ratings, visitor messages given, visitor message received, etc, but not by points?

Criteria can both be sourced by amount (i.e. choosing "Posts >= x" means "If the user has x or more amount of posts") or by points (i.e. choosing "Posts >= x" means "If the user has x or more Points for posts).

Hopefully that's clear enough, I'm rather terrible at explaining things to people :(
