Man! It took me FOREVER just navigating through this site to find support!

I have tried numerous times to install this Activity and Awards mod. The instructions say to upload all files from the "forum" folder to your forums directory. Now I am pretty novice to installing things like this myself, as I just now learned FTP. There is no "forum" folder, only an "upload" folder so my assumption this is what was meant. I was told by Ozzy47 from vBulletin.org to upload the "upload" folder to my web server at the public_html path.

So I tried FTPing the entire activity folder with ALL of its contents including the upload folder, I tried just uploading the upload folder with all of its contents in it. Did this at the public_html level... then tried doing both of these methods in the "vb" folder on my webserver as I thought maybe that was where it may need to go...

I then go to upload the xml file (and yes, I am using the vb4 one) to the products management area, and every single time I do, it gives me this error.

/home3/nomuscle/public_html/dbtech/vbactivity/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!

Please help, I would really love to try out and use this product with the hopes of it being all I expect it to be.

I said the contents of the upload folder, not the upload folder.

It appears as if you have uploaded the files incorrectly. Please drag and drop the contents of the upload folder (use Ctrl+A to select all files) to your public_html folder.

Ozzy, there are very deep folders within folders within folders within the upload folder for this. Like admincp, images, mod cp, etc. then each of those have folders, then more folders in those. When I tried highlight all the contents (which is folders within folders) and FTP them to public_html it asks me if I want to overwrite existing folders by those names? I am afraid to do this, as I can see I already have folders with those names in my public_html.

That is fine, uploading the contents of the upload folder to the public_html, will overwrite some folders if they are named the same, but it won't change anything in them that is not in the uploaded folders.

Ok will try it, but you have to help me fix it if it does crash my forum! Deal? LOL! So I don't select "rename" or anything, just go ahead and overwrite... correct sir?

OMG!!! I FINALLY GOT IT!!! Thank you Ozzy for "saving" me once again! Now that I know how to use FTP though the world better watch out!

Yeah the first time you use it it can be intimidating, but once ya get used to it is is really simple. Glad ya finally got it going. :)
