Hi,

Firstly, not sure if this happens on the default skin, since I don't have the default skin installed. However, it doesn't happen in Safari, but it does happen in Chrome.

When VBShout updates, it jumps up a bit from the bottom. Now, the latest post is still visible, but as soon as you go idle, the un-idle flag is not visible until you scroll down again.

As said, this doesn't happen with Safari, but it does happen with Chrome. It also doesn't happen in Chrome when you're logged out, but only when you're logged in (making me believe that it also will happen in Safari when you're logged in. Ok, the little jump does not happen in Safari whether logged in or out. The little jump happens in Chrome only when logged in.

However, the un-idle line displays below the "fold" in both safari and chrome, logged in or out.

Hope this helps.

Since vBShout v6.1.0 has gone Gold, v6.0.8 is no longer supported and I can't really offer assistance with bugs in that version. Could you please update to v6.1.0 and let me know if it's still an issue?

Ok, upgraded. Does the same thing, I'm afraid :(

In Safari:
Doesn't jump up if it's not logged in. If it's logged in, also no jumping, but when you go idle, it puts the idle un-idle line below the fold so that you have to scroll down to see it.

In Chrome:
Jumps up when logged in. Does not jump when logged out, but again, idle un-idle line is put below the fold, so that you have to scroll down to see it.

I'm unable to replicate any jumping issues on your site or on my localhost using Chrome 22.0.1229.94m. Are you sure you're not referring to the fade-in mechanic of shouts?

As for the sticky/idle being set below the area, I've uploaded a hotfix to /dbtech/vbshout/clientscript/vbshout.js that might fix it for you. Could you try that and see if it works for you?

I assume that I only overwrite that file with a newly downloaded version? I did this, and will be testing now. Will let you know!

Thanks!

Ok, I see that the idle/unidle thing appearing below the fold has been sorted. Thanks very much. The jumping issue seems to be better as well, but this may just be my imagination.

Either way, I'll shout if I find anything else again!

Thanks for your help!
